Mark Prior's Comeback
« on: September 03, 2010, 02:30:29 PM »
Nice little article on what was formerly the best pitcher in the game.. http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=sh-priorcomeback090110

Lets get it AA... Why not sign him to a couple year deal, should come relatively cheap... Setup man or maybe even close.

"He'll get burnt though, end up with an ERA well over 4 come end of the season." - Rounding Third talking about Cliff Lee after his first 4 starts of 2008. (22-3, 2.54 ERA and the Cy Young come end of the season)

Ha.  The Rangers.....the organization who doesn't believe in putting such emphasis on pitch counts and overuse.

This will end well........ ;)

Nolan Ryan was an amazing super human and one of my favorite players of all time. However, what he doesn't realize is that he was an amazing super human and that basically no one else is and certainly no one on the current Rangers. So he probably does think he is working with a bunch of wussies who just need to work harder. Halladay is the closest modern match to Ryan but you won't find anyone with that last name on the Rangers pitching staff lol.
