Thought we could use a thread to discuss any happenings around the league which don't warrant an individual thread every day.

Few happenings:

Burnett won the Yankees first game today, sadly. 5 1/3 IP, 2 ER, 6 K, huge run support.

Texas looks great in the first three against Cleveland, anyone think they can take the AL West in a surprise?

Chris Carpenter is back, took a no-no into the 7th, eventual line is outstanding (7 IP, 7 K, just the 1 hit and one Unearned Run).

Cleveland, that's where all the Jays are going (or maybe they have already arrived there), and it is the game they will play tomorrow afternoon sorta bothers me right now .........

O Birds are killing the Yanks today. 10 runs scored by O Birds in 3 short innings of work & Yanks still couldn't figure out how to resolve their batting jinx

Tampa is showing Roid Rage Yankees who's the boss tonight.

15 to 3, all Tampa.

For the record, Tampa has poured out 16 hits in 7 innings while our not so mighty Jays have managed 14 hits through 7 innings as well

The new Mets stadium is surprisingly bland. No doubt it's a great facility with all the modern appointments, but the absence of any visible Mets colour scheme and Mets branding is peculiar. It looks like an away park.

O yea, pretty surprised no one mentioned Orlando Hudson's cycle earlier this week as well, felt good for him.
