Early Positives: Knecht has been solid in his Auburn debut as a 20-year old.  He shows an ability to take walks which is always nice to see early on.  Rankin and Fermin have also been off to great starts.  Rankin is over-aged in Rookie ball, and Fermin did have a week in rookie ball, but Fermin has been the best early offensive player.  As far as pitching goes, Syndergaard has been solid in a short time.  Wojciechowski is done for the year but performed well and most scouts saw his change-up was working, which brings him up to a #2 potential starter.  Marza has been solid, but Barnes has been excellent.  Unfortunately, he's over-age in rookie ball, and there's no reason for him not to be in Auburn.

Early Negatives: Hawkins started off pretty sharp but has declined dramatically since.  However, he's known for his bat and has plenty of time to turn it around.  In an extremely small sample, Sanchez has had a very high WHIP but again, only 3.2 IP.  It's hard to find negatives this early.

What's Knecht's natural position? I know he has played them all in the OF this year for Auburn.

LF will likely be his long-term position.
