Also in the Majors you have great vets like Barajas calling games as apose to, for example in Vegas Phillips and Arencebia.
Not so much.......

Brian Doripak nailed his 18th homer yesterday, what a waste in AA...see what he's got in AAA or DH-ing in the majors already.

Dopirak has shown decent pop but a couple things stick out as to why he's likely a career minor leaguer:
  • His age (26 years old this year, and still in AA)
  • Weak showing of base-on-balls (29bb to 66so; only a 60 point avg-obp differential), and this goes hand-in-hand with subpar plate IQ and fundamentals

it's such a shame though him being wasted in AA, you look pst other stats when the guy consistently puts up good power numbers...i know Doripak is "old" for a prospect but Jake Fox has been called up recently to the cubbies and is doing a nice job, tiny bit of prevoius MLB experience allbeit.

Rzepczynski, had another strong start in AAA last night....his 2nd since being moved up.  5 2/3 innings, 1R (earned), 1BB, 7 K's.

Snider returned in Vegas last night and went 0-3, Delluchi didn't play..good sign?

Doripak hit another bomb for NH also.

Anyone know what happened to Kyle Ginley?

He missed the first half of the year, came back and had 5 relief outings, and hasn't pitched since July 6th.

Can't we just be unreasonable and expect him to be the next Ryan Howard?

I'm all for this.
I'd rather have a sister in a whorehouse than a brother who's a Yankees fan.

No one's really talking about Johermyn Chavez at all.

He was a notch below Balbino Fuenmayor when signed and is having a nice year at Lansing.

.273 Avg, .334 OBP, .476 SLG, .810 OPS
18 Homers, 76 RBI's this year.

Ya, he's struck out 112 times this year but he's only 20.  Some good raw tools...I eagerly anticipate what the future holds for him.

I'm willing to give Balbino a pass this  year as it's his first full year at A-ball.  Chavez struggled last year in his first full year as well.  Next year is when I expect to see Fuenmayor take a good step forward.
