I have a feeling that that Snell pick-up is going to pay big dividends for the Blacksheep. I really wanted to take him but wasn't willing to give up on any of the players already on my roster.

I hope so, I had been looking at him for a bit, one of my relievers hit the DL so I snagged him immediately.

i think he'll be a good pickup for the first month or so, but wouldn't be suprised to see him 'pen bound come mid season.

I was suprised to see Mark Ellis floating around the non drafted list, he has pretty good production for a 2b.

Let's not base everything off the first week people.  I need some time to recover from my auto-draft.  Also, did I make a mistake dropping Rick Ankiel?

I'm having a real tough week yet I'm still predicted to do well :)

My team is built to do better later on though.  plus its been a real tough first week for a lot of top tier closers.

It was 4-4 in the W category, my opponent has Hoffman who goes in for a save in a 7-4 game. I don't care if he gets the save since I'm already down 6-0 in that category, but sure enough he gives up three runs, Brew win the game the next inning, Hoff gets the W, and I lose the category. Another annoyance was winning the R category by 15 but losing RBI by two.

All in all I need to be happy with a 9-3 win over a respectable opponent. The Lime Hounds are now 52-17-3 (.743) in opening weeks dating back to 2005.

Thats kinda crappy about the Hoffman thing Lime.. But on the bright side you didn't have to play the Saskatchewan Selects. ( You would have lost 7-4)

Ubaldo Jimenez... Up for trade. First offer takes him. Even a sack of hockey pucks will do at this point.

After an absolutely brutal first six days to the week the Lime Hounds pitching staff steps up in a big way on Sunday. They toss 32 masterful innings, allowing just 23 baserunners and a paltry three runs. What was an 8-1 drubbing heading into the final day has been turned into a 6-6 tie to close the week.

Meh, Hamels and Verlander fair enough, but question marks over them other cats.

I still like CC, Hanson, Burhele, Hudson, Hughes and CJ Wilson in all honesty.

Also Lime you sneaky pete, you already have a 2-0 lead..how dare thee.

Wilson is starting for the first time since 2005, plus he'll be pitching in Texas heat all summer. Hughes has proven nothing as an SP in the bigs, Hudson has been an injury wreck the last few years and Hanson has to watch his back for the sophomore slump.

Any question marks N.E.R.D. has you can match them and then some - Overall you have to give their rotation the edge.

Whislt your points are valid, man on man my pitchers will do better, esp when the Baltimore Kid and Harden will clearly struggle...also Hanson could easily be the next Lincecum in my book and Hudson is injury free and according to the man himself "the best he's felt in years".

That being said i'm sure someone in the league has a superior rotation to both teams mentioned.
