If Breakthrough does happen to "Breakthrough" into the playoff picture I think it will be more-so due and large part to his favorable schedule down the stretch then anything else... Mendoza Line (15th), The Game (18th), T-Baggers (13th), The Blacksheep (10th) and Nerd (17th). 5 of the bottom 10 teams in the league to close out the season. I would be working on my thank you letter to Yahoo right about now...

Haters goin' hate.  :)

Also, Blacksheep take it easy with the HRs. 8 by Thursday. I'm hurting.

Yep, because my team was a huge push over when I beat you 8-2 after the All Star Break with 10HR to 0 spread on offense :P . And clearly the guy 4 places out of the playoffs is in the worst part of the league with one of the worst teams, clearly lol  ;)

Where are you in the standings? And where am I?

Pretty Clear alright!

I wasn't saying anything about my being in the playoffs, you again, were the huge jackass who decided to criticize me for no reason, what is that the 3rd, 4th or 5th time you've done this now? All I do is play and talk about the game in general, yet I constantly get crap from you on here. So, that said, I decided to poke you a bit in the name of fun, and honestly, to say I'm one of the worst teams, 4 spots from the 6th playoff spot, is another jackass thing to do. I know my team is not the best this year, I've never said it was, I'm just gonna reply when you start running your mouth about me for no reason. I think you would respond the same if I just came on here out of the blue and was like "Mick is a deadbeat loser who can never win a championship and chokes in the playoffs every year!!! Hahahahaha"

But have I ever started a thread like that? No.

While no one can argue with that, it would be nice to see some display of sportsmanship from you on occasion, 'Sheep.

I was merely pointing out the fact that Breakthrough got to play 5 out of the bottom 10 teams. Which if you look at the standings is exactly correct. I did not run my mouth and said nothing about anyone of those teams being lousy... Its just common sense, if you only had 5 games left and got to play all 5 against teams in the bottom half of the standings, IMO that is pretty damn favorable.

What do you mean? I keep my team updated and active all year, I don't start things with people unless they start stuff with me, I'm not sure what you are referring to? And I don't approve of you sticking that quote in your profile, it's taken way out of context, I was saying that I don't just randomly come on here and start threads like that.

On top of that, things you don't know that have happened to me since I started playing. At the end of the 2005 season, I developed lyme disease and heart problem that required a heart operation, but I kept playing. Then through 2007, lyme disease again, at one point I couldn't walk, but I kept updating. Now, lyme disease is back and I was hospitalized for a week in July for a different issue, but I updated this team from my freakin cell phone in the hospital bed because while they let me have my laptop, the web site was blocked in the hospital! lol. So I do my best, I've almost died in 2 different seasons now though.

You're very lucky to be facing TAW right now

I stand corrected, though your offense was basically atrocious on its own (TAW faces an opponent having an off-week, what a surprise ::) ). You did deserve better pitching-wise.

I've noticed a trend;
If Cargo is playing at Coors all week, then nobody stands a chance offensively against me  ;)

Sorry Knights but a thrasing had to be delt out to show my intentions, i like your team though man...excellent starting rotation on paper, pitty Carpenter and Lincecum let you down this week.

By the way how did i pick up Freddy Sanchez with Waiver number 20, he's a top10 2nd baseman at least.

Oh well, there is always next year and I'm still going to play for a strong consolation finish.  My offense isn't the greatest this year but they dropped beyond a proverbial egg.  .302 OBP...I might as well have had John McDonald on my team this week.  Ouch.  Well played in the drubbing.

Best fantasy team names from Matthew Berry's ESPN column:

1. Lady Galarraga -- @andrezeski
2. I Shin Soo Choose You -- @whatadewitt
3. Where My Pitches At? -- @DanielEStark and @mylespappadato
4. Ubal. Corner Pocket -- @@sfavreeK
5. Carry On My Heyward Son -- @pdoulatshahi
6. Billy Beane is Not My Lover -- @pcunningham3
7. Mo Vaughn, Mo Problems -- @frontofficefan
8. Smack My Pitch Up -- @mwilly33
9. Blue-Va-Ja-Jays -- @Heybeavis
10. Longorius Basterds -- @amandarykoff

Blue Jay shout out in #9, but I like #1 and #5 best.  Some others were:

Honey Nut Ichiros
It Byrnes When I Peavy

Thought of it during today's Jays game:

Where would "Por Some Cello On Me" rank?

If anyone uses it and it gains fame make sure you credit the original author who, according to Google search engine, would be me.

This 10-2 deficit the Lime Hounds are in this week is likely to hold so as long as the Lemonaids don't win by three or more or the Lumberjacks don't win by 4 or more, the Hounds will be headed to the playoffs. This is significant because it would mark the 6th time in the 7 year history of the OKBJFL that this franchise has made it to the big show. That is significant because 6 of 7 is about 86%, which is a mindbogglingly amazing clip to be cracking the top 6 of a 20 team league.

Just giving credit where it's due. They don't call it the model franchise for nothing, folks.

The playoff race between the Lemonaids and Lumberjacks is boiling with excitement. Half a game separated these two coming into the final week and with only a few hours remaining, both teams are tied in their respective matchups.

Barring a 3 HR game from James Loney tonight, Lemonaids are in.

According to league record books we've never had a team miss the playoffs by 0.5 games. The next closest was, co-incidentally, these very same Lemonaids who missed out by 1.5 games a year ago. The next closest after that was 2.5 games in 2008, when mccain punch lost out on the final spot to, you guessed it, the London Lemonaids.

Tough pill to swallow for the Lumberjacks but a solid rookie season nonetheless.
