Well I've only been a baseball fan since '96 so I was never fortunate enough to experience the great rivalry during the 80s, but I must say, I really wish we were still in the same division as you guys. I've head a buncha great stories about the rivalry and I wish I could've been there. Fun little fact: My first baseball game was Tigers vs. Blue Jays on July 4, 1996.
As for the Tigers this year, there's alotta mixed feelings here in Detroit. The defense has improved considerably with the additions of Adam Everett and Gerald Laird. The acquisitions of Edwin Jackson and Brandon Lyon also give our pitching some depth. Our chances of winning a somewhat weak AL Central all rest on our ability to stay healthy, in my opinion.
