Accardo claims AA "lied" to him

Apparently Accardo claims AA told him he would be the team's closer, I guess, he's being kind of vague, but I'm not sure Accardo has done/did himself any favors to make it look like he could be a closer again.

Here is his vague quote he made in the article.

"I was lied to a lot last year, where I was told one thing and something else ended up happening," Accardo told the paper. "That didn't sit well with me, but I turned (over) a (new) leaf and we talked and he told me everything's going to change, and really things haven't changed." - Accardo

I don't know.  Brian Tallet has been allowed to run out there and give up 1 to 3 runs every 3 out of 4 outings pretty consistently all year.

Jesse Carlson - 4.24 AAA ERA   
Accardo           - 3.56 AAA ERA   

He was awful when he came up, but it seemed like Cito threw him out on the mound when he shouldn't have. 

I certainly don't care much for Accardo but he has some talent and I'm not sure if he has been handled as well as he should have been.

Don't get me wrong.....Tallet is terrible....Carlson's rookie season was good, when Gibbons brought him in to face 1 lefty at a time and quickly yanked his ass out...but he has also been lousy since then.

I just don't think Accardo has shown anything since his '07 season I guess it was.  He's a 1 pitch pitcher now from what I can gather...his splitter left him and I don't think he's ever really been able to get it back with consistency.  That's just not good enough.

I find it funny that we were happy to get this guy for Shea "Cancer" Hillenbrand, and now he's seemed to have developed into the same.

If he's looking for someone to blame for his usage, perhaps he should blame the guy with a 8.10 ERA facing MLB batters.

If Accardo has been lied to though, gotta be honest i would eventually let me feeling be known.

We got him for nothing and he's still pretty young, give him a shot.

You know what impressed me most about that article? That Sturtze actually pitched for 12 year! Wow, I had no idea, felt like his career was a lot shorter lol.
