Seriously, John McDonald's batting second?

A 2-0 deficit feels insurmountable when a career .275 on-base is in your 2-hole

Cito's a genius! Homerun Johnny Mac!
I'd rather have a sister in a whorehouse than a brother who's a Yankees fan.

And of course we can't blame Cito because Johnny Mac goes 2-for-4 with a homer from the 2-hole.

With rosters about to expand maybe it's time to shut Tallet down, at least unofficially since better options will be available.

Then who will be our custodian?

The important thing is that both of Cito's prized relievers continued to be gasoline on the fire.

Yeah, can we not just pay another team to take him or even send him to a field somewhere for grazing.

Shutting him down would be the same as releasing him without the embarrassment.  He was very good for a number of years, but is either hurt, and or declined due to age or other reasons.  With the expanded rosters there will no longer be use for him in the pen, but if he wants to hang out and "rehab" his sore shoulder then they should let him do that for the remainder of the season.  There's just no reason to bring him in to get pounded again and again.

I was at the game today...didn't get a bobblehead and not much to cheer about aside from that Johnny Mac dinger. I thought the birthday boy pitched well, but the pen just let it get away before the Jays hitters finally woke up a bit. I don't enjoy shelling out the big bucks to watch the likes of Tallet throw BP.

Tallet has been very good against lefties this year.  He's been a BP thrower to righting, but Cito seems to think he can handle being something more than a lefty-specialist.

i drifted in and out of sofa catnaps all afternoon watching this, but for me it was more about watching it for Dave's day, remembering my grand-parents sofa 20 years ago on that afternoon, with the old tv with the rabbit ears (that was mostly b & w with tiny bits of colour) oh and yeah it's Stieb not Steib

Grazing won't work, Cito will go back out there and tack up his favorite old pitcher and send him right back out to the mound.

Nope, instead I think we need to take him and our trusty Betsy (shotgun) down to the river in the woods and tell him to look straight ahead, no peeking. Then we tell him how we are gonna go live on a big farm out in the country and there will be animals to pet every day (we start crying) and how we will live happily ever after.....

Well you get the picture lol  :P
