Game 133: Blue Jays @ Devil Rays

McCoy and McDonald in while Snider sits (again). This is bad for two reasons: I hate Tampa and want Cito to give this team their best chance to win, and Snider's development is not being prioritized as it should.

JPA is a Sept call up, do we know the rest?

I see Johnny Mac has his running shoes on tonight, pretty random attempt of stealing 3rd.

On the bright side, only 29 games left before Cito is replaced by a much younger, sane and hungry manager (hopefully).

Crazy lineups, favoritism and poor managing philosophy will hopefully be a thing of the past.

Sinder's development is NOT being stunted, for the millionth time.

That being said, Snider should be playing every day because he's good.

Never said anything about Sinder, but Snider's development is certainly taking a back seat.

Impossible to confirm or deny. However, as Lime points out, his development is not being prioritized and Snider playing everyday should have been the #1 offensive priority of a re-building year. Let's get Wilner back in Cito's face. In my opinion this is a much bigger issue than bullpen management.

That being said, Snider should be playing every day because he's good.

He's not good yet, he's still very raw. However, he'll never get good until he plays more.

Anyone want to clue me in as to why Lewis was removed from the game?

At the very least one has to have a much better effort at getting that run in from 3rd with less than 2 outs and the game on the line.  At the most one should expect that run.

neither was done!! >:(

failure at the plate and failure by the manager is UNACCEPTABLE

Maybe they're benching Snider allot because he was "rushed" through the minors.

expalin what you mean by rushed.   Snider excelled at every level he played and the fact that he was a high first rounder that combination will get you in the majors fairly quickly.   Snider played plenty of games before making it to the majors and his 'growth' will not be affected by the Cito factor especially since we are nearing the end of the season anyway and hopelfully a new manager will come in and cement Snider in left field for good.

I was being facetious, Snider belongs here but i was picking up on what others have thought about Snider on other blogs and fan sites

I'm sure even one or two on here may think he was rushed to the majors.

I just cannot believe the way Snider has been handled, from his forced extended stay in the minors to his current, playing 3 times a week. It just blows ok! Because many playing in front of him are not even going to be here next year. "So" you say, "He will play next year." Yes, I know this, duh everyone knows this, but the point is during years like this the kids should be playing most of a full season so when we reach our singularity of young but experienced talent in a few years time, they will be able to play well and string together wins instead of all having more learning years in the bigs. Instead, Snider  gets another "development year" all of the 2011 season when this should have been his development year.
