At the very least they should be showing you the Sox/Yanks instead of a matchup of two struggling teams.
Next they'll be showing you billiards.
I'm actually really disappointed to hear that. There are two scenarios where I can almost understand the different game:
1 - Yankees/Red Sox games simply because you probably have just as many "fans" of those teams around the country as you do Jays fans. The simple byproduct of name association + winning (or at least the perception of winning).
2 - A West coast team like the Mariners who are so close to BC that you can understand there being a "local" attraction.
But playing a game between Tampa and Baltimore...that is just strange. It's obviously for the reason that Lime put out there, but really disappointing. It would be interesting to see what the ratings numbers are out West for Jays games compared to something like this.
Actually, this might actually have something to do with the rights to broadcast games...it was part of the reason that RSN stopped airing Raptors games, because of the obligation to show a certain amount of NBA content. TSN could cheat with the TSN2 channel, but RSN didn't want to air the number of basketball games they were required to get 20 or so Toronto games. I wonder if there is a similar rule from MLB?
