The Hall of Fame is taking vote for the Frick Award on facebook www.facebook.com/baseballhall . That means it is time for us Jays fan to get out and support Tom Cheek to finally win the award he deserves.

Voting runs until September 1st.

The top three fan selections from votes tallied at the site during September will appear on the final 10-name ballot for the award.

It doesn't mean that I'm not going to vote, but it almost feels like there isn't even a point in doing it. How the heck Tom Cheek isn't in the Hall already is an embarrassment.

With that attitude he will never reach the hall.

Going in with Robbie will be a fine honor even if it's late for both of them.

I didn't think the blue jays were actually promoting this, but at todays game they did. Still only 187 people have voted for Tom today. That is pretty sad. It takes not even 10 seconds.

Out of the 14 000+ people at the game, and I'm assuming they've been doing this everyday I haven't been to another since the voting started probably more then half the people do, and half of those people have smart phones that they could have voted right there on the spot in 30 seconds.

People say it's a shame that Cheek is not in the hall yet they do nothing about it. Sure he will probably make the ballot but if there was thousands of people voting for him everyday it would say a lot more then the 150-200 that are now.

The list is so long that my phone went to sleep loading it, and again after i clicked "vote". And that is in my house with four bars of 3G service. In the concrete dungeon, I've never had anywhere close to that... it can take well over a minute for me to send a text from inside the dome. Some places have no signal at all. I'm guessing most people would get frustrated and quit before they registered their vote.

Ya the voting seems to have drifted off. But good news is over the weekend I heard that Tom had won the voting everyday so I say he's got a finalist spot sewn up.
